Tooth extraction is the removal of a tooth from its socket in the bone.

If a tooth has been broken or damaged by decay, we will try to repair it with a filling, crown or other treatment. Sometimes, though, there’s too much damage for the tooth to be saved. If we have to remove the tooth we will talk you through various options to replace the tooth with either bridgework, dentures or implants.

Occasionally teeth are also removed to reduce overcrowding in your mouth as part of orthodontic treatment.
